I Said Yes

A little over a week ago the man I love got down on one knee and asked me to marry him over champagne and candlelight. Without hesitation I said yes. I knew he would be my forever from the moment we first met over coffee 9 months ago.

After my divorce I was so unsure of what the future would look like. I had spent 14 years with someone who was never really capable of loving me. And after having 3 kids, losing a child to cancer, and a lifetime of turmoil and heartbreak I wasn’t sure I would ever find my happily ever after.

I can say with absolute certainty that I found it in Wayne.

This wonderful man has not only embraced me, my boys and the heavy weight of what this life has dealt me, but he does it all with a smile on his face and a steadfast commitment to making sure we feel loved every single day. I thought that kind of love only existed in fairy tales.

When I said yes and he slipped that gorgeous ring onto my finger I felt such a rush of pure joy and contentment. Life will never look like it used to again. My smiles will be real and my happiness will come from within.

Thank you God for sending me such an incredible man to be my husband.

I love you Wayne and I can’t wait to be your wife.
